Through a 20-year contract, Tandeef executes collection and cleansing of municipal waste in Sharjah city. Tandeef collects around 5,000 tonnes of waste daily, serving over 1.4 million people in Sharjah.
Tandeef is responsible for waste collection and public cleansing in several cities in Sharjah, such as Al Dhaid, Al Batayeh, Khorfakkan, Kalba, Al Madam, and Al Hamriyah. In addition to maintaining the cleanliness of public areas, and providing diligent waste collection and management services, Tandeef encourages segregation of waste and recycling through the distribution of colour-coded bins and awareness pamphlets.
In line with the company’s ambitions to implement world -class waste management strategies across the UAE, Tandeef secured a 5-year contract to serve Abu Dhabi’s Lot 1. In close collaboration with the Centre of Waste Management in Abu Dhabi (Tadweer), the company provides public cleansing and waste collection services in the emirate, supporting their ambitions in total waste diversion, and building a sustainable future.
Tandeef serves the Al Rashidiya, Liwara, Al Nuaimia, Al Nakhil and Al Rumailah districts of Ajman; providing waste collection, city and beach cleaning, street sweeping, and bin disinfection services to a population of over 240,000. With a team of over 400 employees, 50 vehicles, and state-of-theart equipment, Tandeef collects around 250 tonnes of residential, commercial, and industrial waste from the emirate, on a daily basis.
Tandeef is a waste management partner for the city of Madinah, covering 75 percent of its area, and serving millions of its residents. Tandeef works closely with the Madinah Regional Municipality to support Madinah’s transition to a sustainable city of the future. The company provides solid waste collection and transport services, and performs disinfection and sanitisation of waste bins, in addition to conducting training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns for citizens of Madinah.
Marking a milestone for the company, Tandeef was appointed as the waste management partner for Egypt’s new Administrative Capital. The company supports the Capital through waste collection and city cleaning, medical waste management, and waste treatment and disposal, in addition to conducting community awareness programmes. Through an integrated environmental management approach and use of the latest sustainable technologies, Tandeef aims to achieve an 80 percent waste diversion rate in Egypt’s Administrative Capital.
